Terms and conditions/FAQs

Events/Gatherings

  • Children's parties require strict adult supervision AT ALL TIMES for the duration of the time that the space is rented.  No food/drink will be allowed in the soft seating area at children's parties.  Children may not play in the bathroom, behind or under furniture, behind the curtains.
  • Hosts are responsible for their guests actions. 
  • Maximum occupancy at one time is 49 people.

Pricing/Damage Deposit

  • Pricing includes:   1000 sq. ft. indoor space plus a small patio area outside, all items listed on the "what's included" page, plus basic clean-up: sweeping/mopping, trash, resetting the room to the original configuration, bathroom cleaning, wiping down bars/tables, cleaning of any service items that have been rented from Room 3:56 or Rise Up Balloons.
  • Rental time will encompass ALL aspects of your gathering, including decorating/set-up/tear-down. If you wish to have extra set-up/decorating time, it MUST be included in your rental time, due to staffing and insurance requirements.  All members of your party, including vendors, MUST be out of the venue by the end of the rented time, your damage deposit will be forfeited.  
  • The total amount is due at booking, including the damage deposit, to secure your date/time.  We prefer payment via cash or check; however, we can accept credit cards. There is a $50 charge for any returned checks.
  • A damage deposit of $200 is required.  This covers any damage, excessive clean-up, and infractions to this agreement.  If the venue is left in the same condition it was found in and this agreement has been adhered to, your damage deposit will be returned within 14 days following your event.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations 31-60 days will receive a 25% refund.  Cancellations 61+ days out will be given a 50% refund.
  • If the event is cancelled 1-30 days of the scheduled date, NO refund will be given. We allow events to be rescheduled one time with no penalty as long as arrangements are made prior to 30 days.  However, if you are rescheduling within 1-30 days, there is a 25% additional fee as we will likely be unable to book another party in your time slot on such short notice.
  • There is a $50 fee for each additional rescheduled date after the first reschedule has been agreed on.

Rental Items

  • We have some decor items available for rent through our sister company, Rise Up Balloons, You can view them here. Please book these ahead of time.   
  • The customer is responsible for repair or replacement should one of these items get damaged or broken. 

Alcohol/Smoking

While we do allow alcohol, only beer (bottles/cans), wine, champagne, or mixed drinks will be allowed.  The host may provide alcohol, however, the host's guests may not bring their own.  The following rules will be adhered to:

  • A licensed/insured TABC certified bartender is required.  We offer this service at no additional cost for clients booking full price parties/events.  If you are in need of a bartender for a meeting/class there is an additional charge of $30/hour, which helps to cover the additional expense that we incur for our liquor liability insurance coverage.  You may contract your own TABC certified bartender, however, they MUST have liability insurance that names Room 3:56 as an additional insured on their COI.  We can provide you with a list of bartending services, their fees typically range from $40-$45/hour with a four hour minimum.  
  • Our insurance company will not allow BYOB where guests serve themselves.  All alcohol that enters the building must be surrendered to the bartender immediately.
  • No alcohol will be served to minors. 
  • No alcohol will be servevd if it was not declared on the reservation form and noted on the rental agreement as our insurance will not allow for it.  Failure to comply with this will result in automatic forfeiture of your damage deposit.
  • All alcohol that is opened will be consumed on our premises only. 
  • Any unconsumed alcohol will be transported off premises following the event in manufacturer sealed containers. 
  • No kegs, shots, or straight hard liquor will be consumed on premises. 
  • No one will drink to excess; we have the right to refuse/remove anyone that we believe is impaired.
  • Absolutely NO smoking/vaping allowed inside of the event space.  You may use our patio area, all butts must be extinguished in one of our ashtrays.  Please be considerate of our neighbors and stay within the confines of our patio/parking area.


We strictly adhere to these rules and have a zero tolerance policy where alcohol and tobacco are concerned.  ANY infractions will result in the immediate shutdown of your event.  All deposits and fees will be forfeited, and you will be asked to leave. 

Outside Vendors/Balloons/and other decor

  • Outside vendors are permitted but must provide a COI naming Room 3:56, LLC as additional insured. 
  • Outside catering is allowed and encouraged.
  • Should you wish to have balloons at your celebration, they must be purchased/provided through our sister company, Rise Up Balloons, LLC. No other balloon vendors will be allowed.  
  • ·Please note:  We do not allow glitter, confetti, birdseed, rice, or open flames. 
  • ·We only allow command hooks/strips to be used on our walls.  NOTHING MAY BE ATTACHED TO THE BAR.
  • NO tape, screws, nails, staples, etc. 
  • Nothing may be hung from the ceiling.  

Cleaning/Leftover Items

  • Any spills should be cleaned immediately by the host because of the danger of falling. 
  • Basic/reasonable clean-up is included in your rental fee.  (In other words, we will take care of resetting the room, sweeping, mopping, taking out the trash, wiping down the bars/tables, and cleaning the bathroom.) 
  • Anything left behind after customers vacate the premises will be considered trash and thrown away.
